The last four days have been absolutely amazing! I have grown so close to my team members and we’ve bonded so much. I can honestly say that I feel like I have known them for years because we trust one another so much. I have fallen away from church this past year and these four days have been a boost in my relationship with God. It has allowed me to just get away from the world and the stress that comes with it. I have been able to clear my mind and focus on God and just let him take control of my life, my heart and my mind. I can say that this is the closest I have been to God in a long time.
The worship services are very moving and its just amazing to just be able to worship god with all of my heart and to not be distracted! It’s amazing to hear every single person just shouting out to God and praising his name with every breath we have. The sermons and discussions we have had are so motivational and can really turn you’re focus to God in so many ways. It’s been amazing to hear what God has put on these people’s hearts to tell us before we head to Honduras and our other countries. I haven’t been able to listen to a sermon in a long time and I feel like every discussion we have talked about has been really taken to heart and is going to be played out in the way God has it planned to be.
I have learned so many things since I have been here and it’s been awesome to see the ways God can speak to people and how emotional a group of college kids can get and to see God’s glow just engulfing every single person. We have grown so close to one another in such a short amount of time and it’s been amazing to see how close we have gotten to God as well. It’s been even more amazing to see how we have really gotten to know ourselves in this time. We can now go to our countries with a better understanding of what God wants us to do!
The one thing I would say to anyone who is thinking about taking one of these trips with Real Life, is that it is absolutely life changing and it’s the greatest thing I have ever done with my life. This is truly selfless and what God wants us to do!
