Preparing for a Journey

Training camp in Georgia has been nothing like what I ever expected. at first I was nervous about how our team would bond. But from the very first time that we met until now, we have become so extremely close. I know that God chose each one of us for a certain purpose and all of us bring something that adds to the team. We are going to do such great things in Honduras. At training camp, we have worked on several things. Somethings that really stood out to me is working on how to listen to God more openly. That is something that I have struggled with for some time, but after really working...

Fearless

The past three days of training camp have been incredibile. They have helped completely prepare me for a summer of intense work in order reach the nations with the joy found in Jesus Christ. Since boarding the plane for Atlanta on Friday morning, it has been very difficult for me to accept that I will have no control over what happens at home to those that I love. It's hard to give all of that up and completley trust the Lord to provide for and protect them. This fear of the unknown is a weight that would keep me from being able to completely rely on the Lord. Worship.

Today I got up early with the intention of reading my bible and having some quiet time with GOD. About five minutes into it however, Josue asked me to come and help with his early morning homework. I left what I was doing, and headed over to help. As I was helping him I was realizing that in doing so, I was  worshiping GOD.      Worship isn't confined to reading the bible, praying, and listening to music. Worship is a lifestyle of loosing everything for the cause of CHRIST. I think that GOD was as pleased with me helping Josue with his homework as he would...

Children of LOVE.

Today in school we made crowns, symbolizing our sonship (and daughtership) with the Almighty. We read part of Romans 8 to the kids in spanish, and explained that they are royality-that they are Sons and Daughters of The One true King, JESUS CHRIST. It was beautiful. They were all so excited to make the crowns, and I was pretty stoked that we got the opportunity to breathe into them a bit of there idendity.

Love.

Lately, GOD has been showing me a lot about love-not only about how He loves me, but how I ought to love others. GOD is thrilled over me. He delights in me, and always wants to see me overcome. He desires to spend time with me, and to show me His secrets and to watch me grow. On the other hand, GOD’s love is not forced. He never forces his love on people, nor forces others to love. He loves freely, without any motive to get anything in return. And, I think we ought to love in the same way.             Back in High School, I...
