Blessed Beyond Words

We’ve been in Honduras for a little over a week now. It feels like we’ve been here for well over a month because of all the different things we have been doing here. Some of them include, working with children with disabilities, going to the trash dumps and feeding 200 people, going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and so many other things. Something that I really enjoyed this past week was spending the day in downtown Tegucigalpa and seeing the Catholic Cathedral. It was so amazing to see how big it was. I even got to spend some time in adoration there. It has also been a blessing having a World Race team at Zion’s Gate with us. They are a team of 40 people that take a year and travel around the world doing mission work. I really have been enjoying my time here. The people on my team and I have been getting along so well, it’s amazing how close we have become. God has done so many wonderful things since we’ve arrived. He has made me realize how much I depend on material things, when in reality; I don’t even need half of them. It is also such an amzing feeling knowing that this is the exact place that God wants me. Some people might think that it is crazy taking a summer and not working, not seeing friends or family and instead sleeping on concrete floors every night, sharing one bathroom with 50 people or praying and spending time with people who live in the trash dumps, but I know that this is what God has called me to do and I am very happy that I am here.
