Thankful for…..Painting 🙂

This past week, the community here on the property has been vibrant and varied. On Saturday, a World Race squad of almost 60 people joined us here and it has been neat getting to know them and seeing this place come alive as projects on the property have begun. Two World Racers- Liz and Sidney Anne- have really encouraged me and it’s been great getting to know them.

Community in other ways too has been neat to witness and experience- I have spent a lot of quality time with Nidia, Tony’s wife, and I also have had much one-on-one time with individuals on the team. One of the ways we’ve spent time together has been through painting!
Our team took quiet time to pray & paint. I ended up with a very still field of flowers in a wind-less blue sky. The Lord made it clear that this symbolized waiting based on Psalm 27:13-14
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Sarah, one of my team leaders, and I have undertaken a painting project to re-do a room in the main building. It’s going to be an office/study space for the family, and this week we have primed and painted the room. It took several layers of prime + cream and navy paint to soften the rugged-ness of the room and give it a cozier feel. We have other plans for the room, and it’s been great being able to serve the ministry on the property in this way!
Time spent painting this past week has meant creative time with the Lord and team-both of which has been a blessing and needed refreshment.
