“Welcome to Honduras Olivia!”

My eyes filled with tears the moment the plane was descending to the Tegucigalpa airport and the bustle of the city was encroaching.

God was speaking to my heart and confirmed to me that he has brought me to Honduras for such a time as this. In that moment with the Lord, my heart was already falling in love with the country and its people.

After proceeding through immigration and customs my team and I entered the arrival area where hundreds of people were waiting. Almost instantly Dan, one of our team leaders, saw the man who runs Zion's Gate Ministry.

As the team and I were looking around at all the people we began to notice kids holding signs with our names on them!

"Welcome to Honduras Jennifer!" "Welcome to Honduras Samuel!" "Welcome to Honduras Amber!"

Little by little we found our sign, each being held by one of the kids from Zion's Gate.

Through God's confirmation in my heart and the overwhelming welcome from the kids, Honduras has already begun to capture my heart.

For the first time after arriving at Zion's Gate and hearing about all the ministry opportunities I realized that two months is going to be too short and that already I don't want to leave this place.

God has already blown away my expectations and I cannot wait to experience all that he has for us as a team during the next 7 weeks!
