Hey Parents, Friends, & Family!
I wanted to let everyone know that we are here in Honduras!
Our bus left at 9am from Taccoa Falls College for the Atlanta airport and our first flight was at 8:20am to Miami, and then to Tegucigalpa. (The Tegucigalpa runway really is short!)
We were greeted by our host friend family for the next 2 months of this summer.
Tony showed up as we left customs, we never even had to call him. When we came out of customs, we were all surprised to see 11 hand decorated posters with all of our names written on them, held by a bunch of kids we'll be doing life with. They were spread out all over the airport, all along the stairs, waving their posters and ballons.
We ate pizza at Little Caesar's (Hondurans love fast food, so it was cultural) and got settled on Tony's property.
So far, there's a ton of information we've all received for the next 2 months. I anticipate ministry life to be really awesome on this trip. We have many many opportunities to make a difference: working with the 6th grade class at the school next door, doing labor and projects on Tony's property, meeting people on the streets, and some other unique opportunities to visit some different areas in Honduras and see what life is like here.
The team is super pumped to be here, I can't wait for the stories that are starting to be written.
Here's us at the airport, about to leave American soil.
Peace & Blessings!
Stay tuned!
