Thankful for….the little things (that bring so much joy)

In John 10:10, the Lord says, “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly.” In these past days of being here in Honduras at Zion’s Gate Ministry, the Lord has shown this to be so true. It’s the little things, seemingly insignificant things that have been the most life-giving moments. We have been getting to know the property first and the boys that live here….and our contact has been so good at easing us into the various ministry sites that we will be at in the coming weeks.   You’re bound to hear specifics of...

Blessed Beyond Words

We’ve been in Honduras for a little over a week now. It feels like we’ve been here for well over a month because of all the different things we have been doing here. Some of them include, working with children with disabilities, going to the trash dumps and feeding 200 people, going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and so many other things. Something that I really enjoyed this past week was spending the day in downtown Tegucigalpa and seeing the Catholic Cathedral. It was so amazing to see how big it was. Worship.

Today I got up early with the intention of reading my bible and having some quiet time with GOD. About five minutes into it however, Josue asked me to come and help with his early morning homework. I left what I was doing, and headed over to help. As I was helping him I was realizing that in doing so, I was  worshiping GOD.      Worship isn't confined to reading the bible, praying, and listening to music. Worship is a lifestyle of loosing everything for the cause of CHRIST. I think that GOD was as pleased with me helping Josue with his homework as he would...

Children of LOVE.

Today in school we made crowns, symbolizing our sonship (and daughtership) with the Almighty. We read part of Romans 8 to the kids in spanish, and explained that they are royality-that they are Sons and Daughters of The One true King, JESUS CHRIST. It was beautiful. They were all so excited to make the crowns, and I was pretty stoked that we got the opportunity to breathe into them a bit of there idendity.
