FOURever Free

God knows what I need even when I don’t.  I needed to come to training camp; I needed to meet these people; I needed to sing those songs; and I needed to hear every word that was spoken. I need to go to Honduras. I believe that Jesus is going to continue to give me exactly what I need throughout this entire summer. What I needed from this training camp was freedom, and oh man did the Lord provide it! Though I didn’t know it, there were four things I NEEDED to be set free from before I went out… 1.Fear of meeting different people. Because my Father knows me...

More than……

Hi all 🙂 Thanks for reading! 1) More than…..a camp Training 'camp' hardly describes these past four days in Toccoa Falls, Georgia. We arrived on the evening of June 1, and despite the best encouragement, I was still extremely nervous coming into this. Images of a stereotypical summer camp ran through my mind and these made-up ideas were frightening. It was a pleasant surprise, however, when this 'camp' ended up being a n enriching time of preparation for the two months ahead. Some activities that AIM has put on for us include journaling + cataloguing...

Peace Out!

Before heading out to Honduras, Training Camp was our first stop along with other AIM teams going to places like Cambodia and India. Before arriving at camp, I was unsure of what was ahead but as soon as I met my team for the first time, God immediately put peace in my heart. I love, love, love my team: somewhere between camping out in our makeshift tent of ropes and tarps, and Nolan's fun facts of the day, we've become a family already. God has truly put this team together with intention and purpose. God's hand has been working so much in my life and preparing my heart for...

Preparing for a Journey

Training camp in Georgia has been nothing like what I ever expected. at first I was nervous about how our team would bond. But from the very first time that we met until now, we have become so extremely close. I know that God chose each one of us for a certain purpose and all of us bring something that adds to the team. We are going to do such great things in Honduras. At training camp, we have worked on several things. Somethings that really stood out to me is working on how to listen to God more openly. That is something that I have struggled with for some time, but after really working...

Chapter One: A Fresh Start

The last four days have been absolutely amazing! I have grown so close to my team members and we’ve bonded so much. I can honestly say that I feel like I have known them for years because we trust one another so much. I have fallen away from church this past year and these four days have been a boost in my relationship with God. It has allowed me to just get away from the world and the stress that comes with it. I have been able to clear my mind and focus on God and just let him take control of my life, my heart and my mind. I can say that this is the closest I...
